Warranty, Returns & Order Terms

Updated September 2026

Cruiser Consoles Pty Ltd stands behind the quality and workmanship of the products we manufacture. This policy explains our voluntary warranty, returns process and order cancellation terms. It does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

  1. 24-month manufacturer's warranty

    Products manufactured by Cruiser Consoles are covered for 24 months from the original date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship under normal and intended use. The defect must arise within this period for cover under this voluntary warranty. Please contact us promptly when you notice an issue.
    Your ACL rights are separate from this warranty and may continue after the 24-month period expires.

  2. What is covered

    For an accepted manufacturing or workmanship defect, we will repair or replace the affected product or component, or provide another appropriate remedy. The remedy will depend on the issue and will not limit any remedy you are entitled to under the ACL.

  3. What is not covered

    This voluntary warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, or damage or faults caused by:

    • misuse, neglect, accidents, impacts, overloading or excessive force;
    • incorrect installation, removal, reinstallation or transfer between vehicles;
    • unauthorised repairs, alterations or modifications to the product;
    • unauthorised repairs, alterations or modifications to the product;
    • vehicle modifications or non-standard components that affect fitment or operation;
    • unsuitable chemicals, cleaners, solvents or exposure beyond normal interior use; or
    • third-party accessories or equipment installed in, attached to or used with the product.

      Normal cosmetic wear may include minor scratches, marks or fading. Premature deterioration caused by a manufacturing defect is not excluded merely because it is cosmetic. Exclusions apply only to damage or faults caused by the stated circumstances and do not remove your ACL rights.

      WARRANTY, FITMENT & CLAIMS

  4. Third-party products and components

    Accessories or components made by other manufacturers may have a separate manufacturer's warranty. Contact us about any third-party product supplied by Cruiser Consoles; we will assist with the assessment and relevant warranty process. A separate manufacturer's warranty does not replace your ACL rights against us as the seller, and you do not have to deal only with the manufacturer.

  5. Vehicle compatibility and fitment

    Check that your selection matches your vehicle model, year, transmission, seating configuration and other options specified when ordering. Please tell us about modifications that may affect fitment.
    A correctly supplied product that does not fit because of undisclosed vehicle modifications, non-standard components or incorrect details supplied by the customer is not generally a manufacturing defect. This does not affect your rights where we supplied the wrong product, described it incorrectly, or it is not fit for a purpose you disclosed and reasonably relied on us to meet.

  6. Installation

    Install products with reasonable care and follow any instructions provided. Use a suitably competent installer where recommended. Contact us before proceeding if you are unsure. Damage caused by incorrect installation is excluded from our voluntary product warranty, but this does not limit any ACL rights relating to goods or installation services we supply.

  7. Making a warranty claim

    Email sales@cruiserconsoles.net or call 0419 784 590. Please provide your name, contact details, order number or other reasonable proof of purchase, and a description of the issue. Vehicle details, photographs or video are helpful where available.
    Please contact us before returning a product so we can provide instructions and avoid unnecessary costs. We may request additional information reasonably needed to assess the issue. Contact and return address details are in Section 13.

  8. Assessment and returns

    We may assess an issue from photographs or video, or ask to inspect the product or affected component. We will arrange an appropriate remedy for an accepted claim within a reasonable time. Original packaging is not required for an ACL claim; please package returns securely.
    If no fault is found, or the issue is outside both this warranty and your ACL rights, we will explain the outcome. Any chargeable work requires your agreement. Assessment or transport charges must be reasonably estimated and disclosed before they are incurred.

    CLAIM COSTS & YOUR CONSUMER RIGHTS

  9. Warranty claim and freight costs

    For an accepted claim under our voluntary warranty, Cruiser Consoles will cover reasonable costs of making the claim, including necessary return and redelivery freight. Contact us before incurring expenses so we can arrange transport or discuss the cost. This request does not remove any reimbursement right you have under the ACL.
    Where a product is confirmed to have a fault covered by the ACL, we will reimburse reasonable return costs already paid. For faulty goods that are large, heavy or difficult to remove, we will arrange collection or meet the return transport costs as required by law.
    To request reimbursement, email receipts or other proof of the expense to sales@cruiserconsoles.net with your order number and claim details. We will reimburse reasonable approved expenses; any additional cost rights under the ACL remain unaffected.
    If there is no covered fault and no ACL remedy is owed, you may be responsible for reasonable assessment and transport costs only where we have explained those costs in advance and you have agreed. We will not charge for repairs without your approval.

  10. Proof of purchase

    We may ask for reasonable proof of purchase, such as an invoice, receipt, order confirmation or other evidence showing when and from whom the product was purchased. You do not need to register your warranty to use your ACL rights.

  11. Australian Consumer Law

    The benefits provided by this voluntary warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies available to consumers under the Australian Consumer Law.
    Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
    You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
    You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
    For a major failure with goods, the consumer may choose a refund or replacement. For a minor failure, we may provide a repair or another lawful remedy; if the problem is not remedied within a reasonable time, further rights may arise. Reasonably foreseeable loss or damage may also be compensable.
    Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee or other right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. The seven-day change-of-mind period and deposit terms below do not apply to, or shorten, those rights.

    ORDERS, DEPOSITS & CANCELLATIONS

  12. Deposits, cancellations and change of mind

    These deposit and cancellation terms apply to new direct orders for made-to-order consoles where they were provided and accepted before payment. They do not retrospectively change existing orders. Payment terms for other products are those disclosed when ordering.
    50% deposit and remaining balance
    A 50% deposit of the agreed order total shown on your quote or order confirmation is required when ordering. It forms part of the purchase price and secures your production booking. The remaining balance is payable when your order is completed and before dispatch or collection. Any price or specification changes must be agreed before they are applied.
    Seven-day change-of-mind cooling-off period
    You may cancel for change of mind and receive a full refund of all amounts paid for the cancelled order by emailing sales@cruiserconsoles.net with your name and order details within seven calendar days after the order date shown on your order confirmation. The deadline is 11:59 pm Queensland time on the seventh day. Notice received by that deadline counts even if we reply later.
    No cancellation or administration fee applies within this period, even if work has started. This is a voluntary cancellation offer, not a limit on any statutory cooling-off or other legal rights.
    Change-of-mind cancellations after seven days
    A full change-of-mind refund is not automatic after this period. For cancellations before delivery or collection, we may deduct reasonable, documented losses directly caused by the cancellation, capped at the deposit paid. These may include work already completed and non-recoverable materials or supplier charges committed to your order.
    We will take reasonable steps to reduce those losses, account for costs avoided and materials or products that can be reused or resold, provide a breakdown of any deduction, and refund the remainder. The whole deposit is not automatically forfeited. No cancellation deduction applies where you are entitled to cancel for our breach or under the ACL.
    After delivery, refunds and order changes
    After the seven-day period, we do not offer change-of-mind returns once an order is delivered or collected, including for incorrect customer selection, unless agreed otherwise. Faulty goods and other ACL claims are dealt with under the sections above. Ask us promptly about order changes; we will confirm any effect on price or timing before proceeding.
    We will process refunds due promptly to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed. If we cancel because we cannot supply your order, we will refund all amounts paid for that order without a cancellation deduction. This does not limit any other remedy available by law.
